Destination

First thing to know before hiring a yacht delivery captain is to know well about the final destination, where you want your yacht to be delivered. You can talk with someone who knows in-depth information about your destination. They may even give you recommendation on when to move your yacht based on the weather pattern of your destination. Scheduling

Always start preparing to hire the yacht captain atleast four weeks before your departure date. A good yacht captain will spend a whole day to check your vessel completely. If your boat is bigger with so many accessories then it will take so many hours to do inspection in your boat. He may even take a test drive to check the condition of the boat.

Boat insurance

If you are hiring crew along with a boat captain then you may have to discuss with your insurer about the limitations and requirements on who is going to pilot your vessel. If one of the crew member sail your boat on rock to move the boat in a shortcut way, then you can charge him for the damages that occurs in your boat.
